Transport for NSW will be completing night work in May 2024. Work will include installation of barriers and line-marking, removal and building new road pavements including asphalting, storm water and drainage works, traffic signal works and bridge works at Ironbark Creek Bridge.
Out of hours work will happen from Wednesday 1 May to Friday 31 May between 7pm and 7am from Sunday to Thursday, weather permitting. We will be working during normal construction hours between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday between 8am and 1pm.
Lane and shoulder closures with a 40km/h speed reduction will be in place during some night work. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time with up to 15-minutes delay and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.

From Sunday 5 May, slab jacking work will be carried out on Maitland Road between Hexham Train Station and the Oak Factory at Hexham.
To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried out at night between 7pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday. Work is expected to be completed in about four weeks, weather permitting.
Contra-flow arrangements with a temporary reduced speed of 40km/h will be in place during the night work hours.
Significant restrictions for Over Size Over Mass (OSOM) vehicles with ground contact width wider than 3.2m will be in place during the work. Permit holders are required to contact the project team on 1800 515 141 to plan times and movements through or around the works.
